Confidence in God's Sovereignty
John 6:36 - 40

John trusts in the absolute sovereignty of God in salvation. Jesus endured the faithlessness of the crowds, knowing that the Father's will would always be accomplished.

We can have confidence in a great message. In John 6, Jesus is calling men to come to and believe in Him as the only way of salvation. Jesus is the bread of life that gives eternal life, and eternally satisfies the soul. We have a powerful Redeemer in Jesus Christ.

We can have confidence that unbelief in people isn't about us. Jesus was the best teacher of all, and yet very few believed what He said. The crowds wanted to see signs, but never came to trust Him through those signs.

We can have confidence that salvation is from God. The Father gives to the Son the people He has chosen as a loving gift. As many as are appointed to eternal life will come to Him.
