Divine Protection for the Sojourner
Psalm 121

Christians are sojourners and pilgrims in a land that doesn't belong to us. While we journey to where our citizenship is, we can trust God's care for our lives.
We see the psalmist's expression of confidence that the Lord is his help. Because the Maker of heaven and earth has unlimited power, there are no circumstances out of His control. In times of trouble, we can either look to ourselves, or to God who rules over all.
We see the basis of confidence that the Lord is our keeper. He is protecting us, and we can seek refuge in Him. Everything that takes place in our lives is under God's care, and there is no such thing as an accident. He is on our side, and we are ever in His care.
