Up to now it has been darkened by glosses and by many a useless comment, but it is in itself a bright light, almost bright enough to illumine the entire Scripture.”

Romans 9:1-5
Chapters 9, 10, and 11 of Romans answer the big Jewish question, “But what about us?” They deal with the issue of whether God reneged on His historical promises to Israel. Paul anticipates that such a question would come from his Jewish readers so with great passion and with intricate scriptural detail, he answers comprehensively how God has not, and will not, revoke His promises toward the nation.
