It is purest Gospel. It is well worth a Christian’s while not only to memorise it word for word but also to occupy himself with it daily,  as though it were the daily bread of the soul. Up to now it has been  darkened by glosses and by many a useless comment, but it is in itself  a bright light, almost bright enough to illumine the entire Scripture.”

God’s Resolve For Our Ultimate Glory (Part 2)

God’s resolve in our salvation is stated in these few verses as one complete whole from eternity past to eternity future. This completeness is often known as the Five Golden Links in a divine chain of our eternal security. These divine links - foreknew - predestined - called - justified - glorified are inextricably intertwined and all stated in the past tense. This means, from God’s perspective, our salvation from eternity to eternity, is a done deal. What can be more secure than that?
