Wisdom's Warning
Proverbs 1:20 - 33

Wisdom is displayed everywhere - she makes herself known. Man in his natural state is hostile to God, but He is the only true source of wisdom.

Wisdom is displeased when we reject her. We reject her when we are deceived by the appearances of things. She calls for repentance - for fools to turn to her. Only the humble receive wisdom.

Wisdom derides those who reject her. Fools who laugh at Wisdom will be laughed back at by her. Despising Wisdom will never be a victory.

Wisdom deserts those who abandon her, and she will not be found. God often prevents us from making poor decisions, but those who persistently reject Wisdom will have no hope of finding her when disaster falls.

The wise decide to stay close to Wisdom. We do not have to go on living foolishly when Wisdom offers help. Those who take heed and obey her will live without fear of evil.
