We can only be wise when we submit to Christ, the source of all wisdom. If we take hold of God's wisdom, it will protect us.

The condition of wisdom is humility and obedience. We must be willing to search earnestly for it like treasure, and to receive its correction. God guarantees to give wisdom to those who seek it from Him, because He is the source and distributor of wisdom. He preserves the righteous man who seeks truth.

Wisdom delivers us from what is crooked. Wisdom keeps us in faithfulness to Christ, and guards our steps. The danger is not so much being deceived by what is clearly false, but by what is nearly true.

If we will be humble and obey, we can walk in God's wisdom. If we heed Christ, we can live wisely, for all the treasures of wisdom are hidden in Him.
