During the tribulation, there will be such trouble for those who do not know God. Though judgment will come, salvation is offered today.
In the tribulation, there come demons in the form of locusts to hound unbelievers on earth. "They will seek death, but in no way find it." This judgment, though it should cause them to turn to God, will not change their hearts.
Angels are unleashed to kill a third of mankind; and still "they didn't repent of the works of their hands." The hearts of men will not change without the suffering love of Christ. Because of the dark days ahead, we dare not delay turning to Him; for by then our hearts may be too hard to repent.
God calls us to Himself today. As the author of Hebrews has asked, "how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?"
