Parenting 101
Colossians 3:20-21

The answer for Christian parents is the Word of God. The beginning of wisdom is the fear of God. Only this respect and love for the Lord will change the hearts of children - or parents.
Obedience of children brings honor to Christ. When we live our lives with Christ as the essential piece, we will live as God intends. Obedience is without challenge, delay, or excuse - we cannot do this by nature, but only by the Spirit, who changes from within.
Christian parents' child-rearing brings honor to Christ. It is a lifelong journey in helping them to see the gospel. We either love God or the world - may we love God, and teach our children to do so also. Parenting is not absolute authority, but stewardship of their lives. Let us return to the gospel in raising children.
