The Centrality of the Ministry
Colossians 2:1-5

Paul wrote to the Colossians, warning them about false teaching on the horizon. He desired them to have confidence in Christ, rather than ignorance of truth which would leave them vulnerable to false teaching.

The contest for the faith is what Paul strove for on behalf of the believers. he desired to come alongside the Colossians, and strengthen them. We all need to be guided by God's truth as we live alongside each other, knit together in love.

We can have confidence in the divine truth, knowing the joy of Christ even here on earth. He is sufficient for us, because he is in us, and our hope of glory.

Paul had a solidarity with the Colossians throughout all the trials that were to come. He was confident - as we can be - that God would give the strength to stand firm.
