We would not have the truth of the Word if the Spirit did not reveal it to the Church. Jesus imparted truth to His disciples, and the Spirit later brought it perfectly to memory so they could write it in Scripture.

Truth comes from God alone. Jesus was the disciples' teacher for three years, and taught them truth inerrably, because He is God. By teaching them, He was revealing God's nature to man.

Scriptures themselves are the truth. The Holy Spirit reminded the disciples and apostles of what Jesus taught. He reminded them inerrably of what Jesus taught, so we can have confidence in the Scripture's testimony.

The Spirit ministers with the truth. The Holy Spirit's role was to teach His disciples about Jesus Christ. He was to help them remember perfectly who Jesus was, and what He did. When we receive the Word of God, we can receive it as it is: an accurate testimony to truth.
