Christ's death and resurrection brought him glory both of the cross, and of the Church. We see salvation accomplished on the cross, and the fruits it bore in the church.

There is glory in the cross. Jesus' death paid the penalty our sins deserved, and caused us to be free from punishment. The cross showed Jesus' incredible self-sacrifice for the world, and His resurrection proved his sufficiency to take away sin.

There is glory in the Church. Through the cross, the Church was born: the many believers who have received salvation through the ages. Christ's death purchased us, and our new nature is shown to the world by our love for believers.
