God is not done with Israel, but has promised a restoration to them. In Revelation 7, we see him acting on his promise.
The chapter opens with four angels holding back the wind: something that symbolizes destruction on the earth. Before it is unleashed, God marks the 144,000 as his - Jews who go and proclaim his gospel to the world.
We see the end result of the tribulation in verse 9: a great number of people praising God. These are those who were saved out of the tribulation, and they praise God. We see him working even in these days, bringing Israel back to himself.
God is not done with Israel. They have the difficult days of Jacob's trouble ahead of them; but through it, God will restore them.
