The Woman and the Red Dragon

The tribulation is the coming together of all the most destructive events in history. In it, God's wrath comes on the ungodly, while the anger of Satan comes on the godly.
In chapter twelve, we see a woman, representing Israel, who flees into the wilderness to be kept safe by God. Her son is the child who will rule all the nations - Jesus Christ.
The dragon we see trying to destroy the child is Satan, who rules the world, and dominates its rulers. His attempt throughout history has always been to stop the Messiah, but he shall not prevail.
There is always victory in Christ Jesus.
