Why Do The Nations Rage?
Psalm 2
03 December 2023

The world seeks to erase God's authority from every aspect of our lives, and there seems no end to it. But for those who believe in Jesus Christ, hope lies in the future Son of David who will rule the earth.

We see the ridiculous rebellion. Humankind is in a natural state of uproar against God. Though they rage and laugh at God's law, there will come a future rule of peace. The future looks hopeless through human eyes, which is why we must know God's promises.

We see the righteous rebuke. God sits on His throne, evaluating the hearts of all men and women. He mocks those who mock Him, knowing all the combined efforts of Satan and evil men are vain.

We see the reserved rule. Christ will sit as King in Israel as the Son of David who was prophesied to rule. God the Father will give to the God the Son the right to reign, and He will inherit all the redeemed of the earth.

We see the reflective repentance. Those who are wise will take warning, and cease their rebellion against the King. Those who have submitted have cause to rejoice, because Christ comes to rule.
