The Victorious Life
Colossians 3:8 - 11

Whilst indwelling sin is a reality for us as believers, it no longer has control over us because we have been given a new nature that is no longer under the domination of sin. As Christians, we have a new nature and the power to resist sin. To live victoriously over sin, we must kill the desire where it begins.
Put off the old life (v. 8).
We were children of disobedience, but now are made new. So we should live in this new life, putting away anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking.
Don't live a lie (v. 9 - 11).
Be who you are in Christ - a saint called by God. We have laid aside our old selves; let us not take them up again. And ultimately we will be made like Christ when we see Him. Let us always hope in that.
