Not all that glitters is gold, and not everything that claims to be of God is. The Spirit's work is always with the truth and the Word, and never contrary to it.
The Holy Spirit guides into truth. The Scriptures are the revelation of God to man, and is the only unchanging truth we have. The Spirit teaches and witnesses to this truth, and His workings are never apart from it. His ministry is to open our minds to comprehend Scripture that we might be saved.
The Holy Spirit is author of the Scriptures. He revealed truth to the apostles, and guided them in writing it down for us. The Church is laid on this foundation of truth, and our spiritual life is measured by our obedience to it.
The Holy Spirit is minister of the truth, and through Him opening our eyes to the truth of God's Word, we see God.
