THE OMNIPOTENCE OF GOD
Selected scriptures

Whilst we don't find the word ‘omnipotent’ in the Bible, we do find the word ‘Almighty’, which is used 345 times to speak exclusively in the context of God’s insurmountable and incomparable power.
Sadly this critical doctrine of God’s Omnipotence is under attack today, not from outside the church but from within. If we want to worship God in spirit and truth then we must see Him as He claims He is. And one of the attributes He claims for Himself is being more powerful than any force conceivable.
What are the implications of God’s Omnipotence for our lives?
- Nothing can impede His plans
- What He starts He finishes; our eternal security rests on God's omnipotence
We don’t need to have great faith in God. Rather, we need faith in a great God.
