Colossians 2:11-13

Paul uses two physical realities as metaphors to help us understand spiritual redemption.
Circumcision is a picture of God removing our old nature. He gives to us a new life in the inward man that is permanent. Although we are still tempted to sin by our flesh, one day we will receive new, and sinless bodies.
We are commanded to be baptized as Christians; an outward picture of burying the old self with its sinful ways. So let us live in the new nature. How rich is the person who has had their sins forgiven!
More than just forgiven, we have the eternal love of Christ in union with him. Nothing can separate us from Christ's love.
