“If Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; and you are still in your sins.” 1Corinthians 15: 17
C. H. Spurgeon once wrote concerning his faith in Jesus Christ; “Upon a life I did not live, upon a death I did not die, I risk my whole eternity on the resurrection.”
Truly, the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is the single most miraculous and validating act of God that our eternal redemption securely rests upon.
Also His resurrection is the pivotal doctrine that sets Christianity above and apart from all other religions of the world. Jesus Christ has demonstrated in His resurrection that he does not align himself with other religious leaders like Buddha, Confucius or Mohammed. He is totally incomparable in that He not only has the power to lay down His life but also to take it up again.
Henry Morris wrote: The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is the crowning proof of Christianity. If the resurrection did not take place, then Christianity is a false religion. If it did take place, then Christ is God and the Christian faith is absolute truth.
This means that life after death is a reality. It means that because He arose, all shall be raised either to a resurrection of life, for believers and those who are not, to a resurrection of judgment. (Jn 5:29) “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,” (1 Pet. 1:3).
